How to set up a stereo Camera in Maya.
Rendering
Now to render out both right and left image.
ok so go to your render settings and select stereocamera1 (stereo pair) this will render out left and right. ( note if anything ever goes wrong with your render on either image left or right you can render separate sides individually so you dont have to render both out again.
Then Name your File in the File Name Prefix and right click and select insert camera name. This will create a folder for your camera and also create a left and right folder.
Then you can set your render settings as normal to your specified start and end frame.
Then Batch render by going to Render and then Batch Render.
Then when rendered go to your image folder in which the directory you saved it in and you will see these two folders left and right. They will not look much right now but now we composite them into after effects.  Compositing them together in After Effects Ok so now i need to take these images and composite them together in after effects so watch the tutorial below for a step by step guide to doing that. |
